New Year New Wardrobe with Tobi

Young Wives Tale x Tobi Promo

I love Christmas and the “joy of giving’ blah blah blah but once January rolls in, I’m excited to spend that New Year pay cheque on things for moi!

November to December you pretty much deprive yourself of any personal purchases but post Christmas it’s basically illegal to wear anything with a snowflake motif or prancing reindeer so you need to start planning your Spring style.

I’m always on the look out for new brands and lucky for me, the online label Tobi sent me some beautiful staple pieces to kickstart my 2018 wardrobe.

Tobi is an LA based, fast-fashion retailer who design and produce their clothing to inspire confidence, energy and attitude in women around the world.

The first piece is the gorgeously soft Winter Romance Oversized Sweater Dress  which is the perfect crotch covering length for pairing with your favourite leggings, jeans or even braving it with bare legs and dressing up with some knee high boots. My Velvet ones are from Asos.

It has a really flattering cross-over front for relaxed styling and features extra long sleeves making it perfect for snuggling up on chilly days. I loved pairing mine with some ripped jeans and fur topped boots, both from River Island for a shopping trip.

I sometimes feel a bit like a wooly whale in oversized knitwear and think it makes me look bigger than I am, but the waist-cinching detail of this jumper eliminates that.

Over the festive break we threw our annual Boxing Day bash with our fabulous friends so I needed something a bit glamorous and the Camila Velvet Wrap Dress felt perfect for the occasion. The velvet trend has been going strong for a while now and it doesn’t look like it’ll be out of favour anytime soon. This dress is made of  luxuriously thick and silky soft velvet in the most indulgent shade of red wine that warms up even the most pasty complexion (like mine). I paired it with a red lipstick from Rimmel (Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss number 111) and some rose gold sparkly heels my mum bought me from a local Wetherby boutique called Azuzu.

I was a bit unsure about the wrap front bit as I thought it was a bit pointless but actually, once I got the dress on, it really worked and also covered some champagne and mince pie bloatage nicely!

As you see below I didn’t hold back on the fizz… hic!

The final piece in my Tobi parcel is actually my favourite – the Give Love Sweater Dress featuring the thickest, snuggliest turtle neck, perfect for hiding your face away from the cold wind or even people you’d rather avoid whilst in Morrison’s!

It a great length for pairing with leggings as again (same as the Winter Romance  jumper) it is crotch covering as no-one really wants to see some camel toe. ever. I’ve never had a cold shoulder jumper before and I highly advise it over the Bardot style tops which are just annoying and never stay in place.

I even tried it on for my friends during our Boxing Day bash to see how it would work dressed up…

It’s quite short but the long sleeves and high neck balance it nicely!

Thank you Tobi for introducing me to your brand, I highly recommend it for ladies looking for quality, high fashion pieces. Tobi’s prices are fantastic and they offer FREE DELIVERY to the UK with all taxes and duties paid too.

January is about looking after yourselves girls and the first stop is a few fashion treats, make sure you check Tobi out for your Spring wardrobe.

Happy New Year darlings, Love Chloe x
