Attractive in Activewear

I have a serious aversion to waistbands and wearing anything I deem restricting unless absolutely necessary. As many of you with children will know, us parents spend around 60% of the day picking up assorted items like lego, discarded socks and partially chewed food so I don’t want to feel like I’m being guillotine’d in half every time I bend over.

That being said, I also don’t want to look like a bag of soggy potatoes in shapeless clothes… Luckily for me Sports Luxe has been a ‘thing’ for some time now and it turns out you can look smoking hot and still feel super comfy.

Even if you have no intention of stepping foot in a gym or going for a run you can easily make people think that’s what you’re planning by checking out my active wear hot picks below ūüôā

Ok, so you might not want to give your 2-year-old a chocolate bar whilst you’re wearing this but white is MASSIVE this summer and this look nails everything that’s understated and sexy about Sports Luxe. Baby wipes at the ready.

If you’d rather keep things low key but still sporty then H&M has some fantastic offerings in their Activewear range and at very attractive prices. There isn’t much you can’t buy off ASOS and they’ll have it delivered directly to your door before you can say “postage and packaging”. Their own range of leisurewear is great quality, washes well and brilliant value for money. These leggings are for those of you who might worry about the dreaded camel toe when wearing such seemingly unforgiving material as Jersey. Nothing to see here!

Topshop are jumping on the Beyonce obsession bandwagon and a collaboration between Queen B and Highstreet royalty has resulted in an uber-cool collection of pieces which celebrate the strength of the female form. Another online success, BooHoo offers high fashion clothing at bargain basement prices. Their sports wear collection isn’t the best quality when it comes to performance in the gym but it sure looks great on the street! These leggings are in their FIT collection but are more suited to lunching if you ask me. Look cute paired with a snuggly jumper too as you can see…

Ankle detail legging Р£12.00

Natalie Crop Slash Neck Fisherman Jumper Р£10.00

When I first saw this brand I had a serious flashback to going swimming with my mum in the 1990’s! Since then Head has been fairly off-radar until they released these gorgeous modern gym bags which I think would also work as a changing bag!

I’m strill on a quest to find leggings that don’t show the world my choice of undergarments for the day, and I’ve suspected that active wear is the way forward – though I’ve been searching for active wear leggings that are not shiny! So far gap and forever 21 have been winners ūüėä Love these selections Chloe, especially the varley collection at the top. Maybe I can treat myself when I’m no longer a student! I don’t have the excuse of a child – just a desire to be perpetually comfortable!x

Haha yes Fran, the world of leggings can be a minefield when it comes to that pesky bending over transparency with some brands! I think the key is to go for a thicker jersey if that’s your material of preference and actually Primark do some brilliant ones for about ¬£4! I think I’ll check out Gap and Forever 21 though as haven’t looked at their stuff in ages! Thank you for reminding me, Forever 21 is fabbo! xx
